The Edition Apex Smart motorbike helmet from HXP with gesture control is now available

What used to be an accessory is now integrated: The Edition Apex Smart motorbike helmet from HXP combines a microphone, loudspeaker and gesture control with a tried-and-tested ABS shell.
Bikers know that safety is non-negotiable. But modern helmets can do more than just protect. The Edition Apex Smart full-face helmet from HXP is for anyone who wants to use digital functions on the go. It combines tested impact protection with integrated technology that keeps you informed and connected on the go.
The helmet is available in sizes XS to XL. The gradations are based on the head circumference: XS corresponds to around 54 centimetres, S 56, M 57, L 58 and XL 60 centimetres. You measure with a tape measure above the eyebrows and ears, around the forehead and back of the head. Only the right size guarantees a secure fit and full protection.
Safety remains the core task
The full-face helmet fulfils current ECE standards. It uses an outer shell made from ABS hard shell technology. This ensures that the impact energy is distributed efficiently. The visor has a scratch-resistant coating and is prepared for Pinlock systems. This keeps your vision clear even in changeable weather. The chin closure employees a ratchet and, according to the manufacturer, can be opened quickly even when wearing gloves.
The inner lining can be removed and washed. Ventilation openings on the chin, top and back of the head ensure air circulation, which is particularly important on longer journeys. An integrated sun visor provides protection in changing light conditions. The weight of the helmet is around 1.6 kilograms.
Smart functions for everyday use
A microphone and loudspeaker are discreetly integrated. This allows you to make phone calls, listen to music or receive navigation announcements without having to retrofit additional devices in the helmet.
The helmet uses Bluetooth 5.2, which, according to the manufacturer, enables a stable connection. It is controlled using a smart swipe gesture so that you can operate calls, music or voice assistants without having to press a button. Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa are supported. In an emergency, the helmet recognises a fall and sends location data to stored contacts via the paired app. The battery life is up to 40 hours and can be recharged via USB-C.
