"Avène Ultra SPF 50+" sun protection replaces the daily serum
Serum, make-up base and sun protection: lots of layers, lots of effort, and in the end the skin just feels sticky. Avène wants to change this with the "Ultra Serum SPF 50+". The 2-in-1 skincare product combines sun protection and serum in one product. We now have it in our shop.
The «Ultra Serum» replaces the usual serum in the morning, i.e. before day cream and make-up. According to Avène, two pipette fillings are sufficient for the face and neck. The product is quickly absorbed and, according to the manufacturer, does not leave a sticky feeling. The serum is available in three variants, which I will introduce to you in a moment.
All three contain the «Triasorb» filter. Avène has modelled it on natural melanin. It protects against UVB, UVA and HEV radiation (visible blue light up to 420 nanometres). This is relevant because blue light penetrates deeper into the skin than UV radiation and can trigger oxidative stress there. It also contains antioxidant vitamins (E, B3).
Instant plumping: hyaluronic acid and niacinamide
The variant with 1.2 per cent hyaluronic acid and niacinamide is aimed at anyone who wants firmer and smoother skin. The hyaluronic acid creates an immediate plumping effect: the active ingredient binds moisture and creates a fine film on the skin that visually smoothes wrinkles. Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, improves the skin's structure and makes it more supple.

Long-lasting moisture: panthenol for intensive hydration
The variant with 1.0 per cent panthenol is intended for dry or sensitive skin. This provitamin is considered a long-lasting moisturiser in cosmetics. On the skin, it is converted into the effective pantothenic acid and has been proven to promote skin cell production. This is why you will also find panthenol in many healing ointments. It also strengthens the skin barrier, which makes panthenol a proven active ingredient in sun protection and after-sun products. The serum-like texture is absorbed without being sticky.
Radiant complexion: vitamin C complex for more radiance
The third variant is based on 1.4 per cent vitamin Cg. According to the manufacturer, this is the most stable vitamin C compound and is designed to brighten and illuminate the complexion. The compound of ascorbic acid and dextrose works in the skin-friendly pH range and is less irritating to the skin than pure vitamin C.
All variants are fragrance- and silicone-free and non-comedogenic.
