The days when trainers were only used for training are long gone: Today, sneakers are an integral part of casual fashion. But how well do the shoes cushion? The test
Sneakers now sell around 800 million pairs per year. But how good are they? The laboratory tested the quality of the sole, the bonding of the upper material to the sole and the breathability of the shoes. For models with heel cushioning, the laboratory also tested the cushioning after around 200 kilometres of walking. The shoes were assessed according to these various aspects using the Swiss grading system. Kassensturz" came to the conclusion: The most expensive shoe tested is the best. .

These 4 aspects were used to evaluate the shoes tested
- Robustness / durability (30% weighting)
- Breathability (25% weighting)
- Damping after ageing (25% weighting)
- Sole abrasion (20% weighting)
