Santa’s bringing air fryers, iPhones and Lego sets
Galaxus customers’ search entries show what’ll be under their Christmas trees this year. Popular gifts include Lego sets, Apple gadgets, games consoles and air fryers.
The lights are twinkling, wish lists are getting longer: Advent season is here, and with it the anticipation for the big gift exchange grows. Wondering which presents will end up under the Nordmann fir or plastic tree this year? You don’t need a crystal ball to know the answers. In fact, all you have to do is look at the search behaviour of Galaxus customers.
Under the Apple Christmas tree
At this time of year, gift givers dig deep into their pockets to make loved ones happy. Galaxus customers search for Apple products particularly frequently: «iphone» and «airpods» are apparently at the top of the wish list. «ipad» and «apple watch» follow in 5th and 7th place.
Lego sets are also in demand, especially Lego Technic vehicles. The search term «lego technic» is currently in third place in the Galaxus search charts. Many are eagerly awaiting a Ferrari FXX K, a Ford Bronco or a Nissan from the movie series 2 Fast 2 Furious. And it doesn’t stop there. Another Lego series makes it into the top 10 too, namely «lego star wars». What’s striking about Lego is that sets for adults are becoming increasingly popular. Four of the ten best-selling Lego sets at Galaxus in November are those recommended by the manufacturer for players aged 18 and over.
The 4th most searched term on Galaxus is «ps5», the latest version of the PlayStation games console. The Nintendo Switch 2 handheld console is also a strong contender among gifts this year: the search term ranks 8th. Gaming is definitely on the cards this Christmas.
Air fryers spread joy
Two kitchen aids round off the top 10: air fryers land in 9th place and coffee machines in 10th place. Driven by the trend towards healthier food, air fryers are already popular in European kitchens – with the number likely to increase after Christmas. Apparently, many people are also taking the opportunity to give their loved ones or themselves a stylish portafilter or fully automatic machine to replace their old coffee maker.
What are you most looking forward to this Christmas? Do you know your loved one’s wish list? And what do you think of the gift trends mentioned here? We want to hear from you!
