Roborock Saros 20 Sonic now available from us
The Roborock Saros 20 Sonic combines an extremely flat design with a suction power of 36,000 pascals and an innovative vibration mopping system. This is designed to tackle even the most stubborn stains.
Are you looking for a solution that can finally remove the dust from under your deep sofa or low sideboard? The new Saros 20 Sonic has been specially developed to drive under obstacles where conventional robots fail. It is available in two colour variants, black and white.
Slim design thanks to retractable navigation
The most striking feature of the Saros 20 Sonic from Roborock is its slim profile with a height of just 7.98 centimetres. This is made possible by the so-called «RetractSense navigation system», in which the LiDAR sensor no longer sits enthroned on the housing as a fixed tower. Instead, the laser sinks into the housing as soon as the robot moves under a low piece of furniture.
In open areas, the device uses a 360-degree scan for precise mapping, according to the manufacturer. Under furniture, it switches to a 100-degree rear view to navigate safely even in tight spaces.
Vibration for thorough cleaning on hard floors
While many competitor models rely on rotating mops, Roborock's Saros 20 Sonic uses the advanced mopping system «VibraRise 5.0». Here, a mopping plate works with 4000 sonic vibrations per minute and, according to the manufacturer, exerts a constant contact pressure of 14 newtons on the floor.
The Saros 20 Sonic is designed to remove dirt from hard floors.
Dirt is not only supposed to be mopped up, but actively loosened from the surface. This approach is particularly effective in the kitchen or entrance area, where dried-on stains are often a problem. Thanks to the «FlexiArm» technology, the mop head also extends sideways to clean edges and corners without leaving any gaps and without scratching the walls.
High suction power and protection for your carpets
With a suction power of 36,000 pascals, the Saros 20 Sonic is designed to remove even deep-seated dust from carpets and joints. The «DuoDivide» system is used to prevent long hair from wrapping around the brushes. According to the manufacturer, the two main brushes are designed in such a way that hair is channelled directly into the suction channel.
The appliance also automatically recognises carpets: if the robot detects textile surfaces, it automatically lifts the mopping plate. According to the manufacturer, the Saros 20 Sonic can also raise its entire chassis to improve dust pick-up by up to 30 per cent on long-pile carpets.
Chassis for high thresholds
The «AdaptiLift chassis 3.0» is a real highlight for anyone who lives in a home with high thresholds: according to the manufacturer, the robot can overcome double thresholds with a total height of up to 8.8 centimetres with the help of a special climbing arm and liftable wheels.
This makes moving between different rooms much smoother. The integrated Reactive AI 3.0 uses an RGB camera and structured light to recognise over 300 different object types and automatically move around them. This reduces the need to tidy up the floor in advance.
Fully automatic maintenance in the RockDock station
So that you have as few cleaning employees as possible, the RockDock station takes care of almost all maintenance tasks. The wiping plate is cleaned with hot water at up to 100 degrees, which, according to the manufacturer, dissolves grease particularly effectively and removes up to 99.99 per cent of bacteria. Afterwards, drying with warm air at 55 degrees ensures that no unpleasant odours or mould develop.
The station also automatically empties the robot's dust container into a disposable bag, which, according to the manufacturer, only needs to be changed after around 65 days. The cleaning solution is also dispensed automatically and the robot's water tank is refilled with warm water as required.
Thanks to the support of the Matter standard, the Saros 20 Sonic can also be easily integrated into your existing smart home and controlled via voice assistants such as Alexa, Siri or Google Home.
