Perfectly imperfect: the beauty of ceramics

For years, I have been searching for perfection in the home. Now, however, ceramics has managed to seduce me with its magic touch of perfect imperfection.
Suddenly, I also started seeing them in restaurants: those coarse ceramic plates that seem to enhance traditional tastes and flavours more than any other dish. Then they also appeared in blogs. Instagram was literally flooded with food porn and there was no shortage of pictures of beautifully presented food on ceramic plates and bowls.

Unipresent
Since then, as I said, ceramics has become part of my life. Right now it is practically omnipresent in my home, both in terms of tableware and decorative elements. Too bad I discovered this material so late. In fact, ceramic is incredibly versatile: it can vary in shapes and colours, goes with all styles of decor and looks good in any room. Washed-out jeans, however, never bothered me. Who knows why? Be that as it may, I now explicitly look for imperfect traits in ceramics, because they distinguish each item, making it unique.

Try decorating your table with ceramic bowls, cups and plates, you'll see how beautiful they are! The same goes for decorative accessories: ceramic pots bring a fresh breeze to my window sill. Flowers and plants always need a base of equal beauty.
