Now available: Sun creams from Soeder

We have two new sun protection products from the Swiss cosmetics brand Soeder in our shop. Both rely on mineral protection and deliberately avoid fragrances.
According to the manufacturer, the new «Face Sunscreen SPF 50+» has been specially developed for sensitive facial skin. The high sun protection factor is designed to protect against both UVA and UVB rays. It is based on nano-free zinc oxide, which should only leave a minimal white film.
Zinc oxide is found in many sunscreens as it reflects and scatters UV rays. At nano size, zinc oxide can appear transparent and is therefore not noticeable after application. However, nanoparticles are controversial. Nano-free zinc oxide therefore relies on larger particles, which results in a white film.

The fragrance-free cream contains karanja and blueberry seed oil. Both oils contain antioxidants to provide additional protection against free radicals. The tube made from recycled aluminium contains 50 millilitres of sun protection.
Sun protection for the body
For the new body cream «Body Sunscreen SPF 50+», Soeder has slightly changed the composition so that the cream spreads better over larger areas of skin. Here too, nano-free zinc oxide forms the protective base, which has been supplemented with karanja oil.
According to the manufacturer, the product is suitable for all skin tones, as the white film should fade quickly after application. Like the face cream, the sun protection for the body does not contain any fragrances. This should minimise skin irritation.
Soeder produces according to its own information exclusively in a factory in Zurich and only uses ingredients of natural origin for the vegan cream. The sun protection for the body is available in a 150 millilitre tube.
