Now available: portable SSD storage from SanDisk
SanDisk is launching a new external SSD with up to one terabyte of storage space and a USB-C port.
Another photo in RAW format here, a video there – and storage space on your devices can quickly run low. If you carry large amounts of data with you on the go or exchange them with others, the new portable SSD storage from Sandisk might be suitable for you: It offers a choice of 500 or 1000 gigabytes of storage space and, thanks to its compact dimensions of 75 × 45 × 10 millimeters, fits into any pocket. The external SSD weighs 32 grams.
Data transfer takes place via USB 3.2 Gen 2 with a USB-C connection. According to Sandisk, the storage is compatible with MacOS, Windows, iPadOS, and Android smartphones. The manufacturer promises a read speed of up to 600 MB/s and drop protection from a height of up to two meters.
Feels just as comfortable in front of a gaming PC as she does in a hammock in the garden. Likes the Roman Empire, container ships and science fiction books. Focuses mostly on unearthing news stories about IT and smart products.
Presentations of select new products at Digitec and Galaxus. Tested, to the point, no marketing blah.
