Now available: compact all-in-one system Sonoro Avaton
With the Avaton, Sonoro wants to show that an all-in-one system can also sound audiophile. The device offers 2.1 sound, Wi-Fi 6 and a tidy operating concept for the modern living room.
If you're looking for a compact hi-fi system that combines speakers, amplifier and streaming in one device, the Sonoro Avaton is well worth a look. It is available in black, white and graphite.
Equipment and technology
The Avaton from Sonoro is a 2.1 system with two tweeters, two mid-range speakers and a down-firing subwoofer. Five Class D amplifiers and a digital sound processor control the individual channels. You can use the equaliser to adjust the bass and treble and also change the surround sound with the two sound modes 3D Sound and Dynamic Bass.
The housing is made of hand-sanded wood, the front is made of laser-cut aluminium. At 51 × 14 × 26.2 centimetres and weighing around eight kilograms, the system should fit easily on a sideboard or shelf.
The Avaton is versatile when it comes to connectivity: HDMI-ARC, USB-A, USB-C, optical and coaxial input as well as RCA and jack connections are available. You can connect the device wirelessly via Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth with LE audio support or bidirectionally with headphones. Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music HD, Napster and Deezer are supported. FM, DAB+ and Internet radio as well as podcasts are also integrated.
Operation and everyday life
You can control the Avaton either directly on the device, using the remote control or via the manufacturer's app. The 4-inch colour display automatically adjusts its brightness. Up to 99 memory locations are available for favourites, such as radio stations or frequently used streaming services.
A sleep timer can be set in five-minute intervals of up to 120 minutes. You can integrate the system into your existing setup via smart home integration (Busch-Jaeger, Jung, Gira).
The power supply is provided by an integrated power supply unit.
Sound and use
According to the manufacturer, the integrated subwoofer should provide a powerful, balanced sound without additional bass modules. With its 2.1 architecture, the Avaton is designed for small to medium-sized rooms
If you connect the device to your TV via HDMI-ARC, it can replace a soundbar if required.
