My favourite of the week: the Rains raincoat

I scroll my way through our fashion range on a daily basis. This allows me to give you a neat little overview of our products. Each week, I’ll be presenting you with an item I particularly like. Today’s fav: a raincoat.
To date, I haven’t owned a raincoat. And why should I? An anorak is just as effective when the weather’s miserable. At least that’s what I thought until I came across the rain apparel by Rains. It’s the first brand that has been able to convince me of the opposite.
The lifestyle brand Rains from Denmark specialises in rainwear combining functionality and simplicity. In other words: their items sport a sober design and quite literally won’t leave you out in the rain. It all started back in 2012 with a poncho and a reinterpretation of the classic rubber coat. Over the years, the company has evolved into a waterproof lifestyle universe.
Clean
You’re probably asking yourself how this raincoat looks any different from other models. Fair enough. But here’s the big difference: compared to more common brands, the colour range is much broader and not focused on yellow or black. What’s more, I’m won over by the minimalist yet sophisticated cut. Take the visor hood, for example. It’s designed to protect you even from the nastiest kind of drizzle if you pull it down far enough. None of my other hoodies has managed to do that for me. For the first time in my life, I’m praying for rain. Only so I get to wear the coat.
