Mum hacks for the summer: these tips go viral
Instagram videos showing practical tips for everyday life with children are very popular. Here are two cool tips for the summer.
Videos with the caption "Things I wish I knew as a first time mum" are currently very popular on Instagram: These are the things I wish I had known when I first became a mum. I've also seen reels like this in my timeline and immediately thought: "Oh, I wish I'd known that earlier, it would have saved me a lot of trouble."
Here I'll show you two hacks for this trend that I personally find very practical and that are perfect for summer. Both come from influencer Nataliia Saam.
Eat delicious ice cream - with a muffin tin
When my two-year-old son eats ice cream, the T-shirt can go in the bin afterwards. Well, or at least in the washing machine. It's always a mess: he can't lick it as quickly as the delicious ice cream melts and runs down the stick. The influencer recommends making a small hole in the centre of a muffin tin and sticking the ice cream through it - and the ice cream container is ready. The video has already been viewed 1.3 million times.

Using baby socks that have become too small
My sons may be past the crawling stage, but this trick is really practical: as soon as your child's socks no longer fit, you can cut off the bottom end. You can then pull the cut-off sock over his knees as protection when you're out and about on uneven terrain. Practical, for example, on a stony beach or in a playground with little grass.

This video by Nataliia even achieved 1.8 million views. I find that particularly interesting, as the mum has just over 3,000 followers. However, her videos seem to be a sure-fire hit.
