More plug-in, fewer screws: Wardrobes from Rauch

A single screwdriver is all you need to assemble the modular cabinet system, the manufacturer promises. If you want more storage space later, you can add additional elements. We have the new models in the shop.

If you have ever assembled a «Billy» bookcase or a cabinet from Ikea, you know the drill: the furniture only becomes truly stable once you have nailed the thin back panel onto the frame. And that is exactly what becomes a problem when you move. Either you transport the furniture fully assembled, or you hope that nothing breaks permanently during disassembly. The cabinet series from Rauch is designed to be different, and you also don't have to deal with screws and fittings spread across countless bags.

Plug instead of nail

Many connections are assembled using fittings. You don't nail the back panel on; instead, you insert it and secure it. According to Rauch, you don't need any special tools for assembly; a screwdriver is sufficient. The base is also designed to be assembled quickly, according to the manufacturer.

For a better overview, the packages are labeled to match the instructions. You can also use QR codes to access videos that show you the individual steps. Finally, you should be able to assemble the cabinet on your own, as you put it together directly at its final location.

Three variants, one concept

Rauch offers the system in three variants: «Lunik Basic», «Mylora Classic», and «Mylora Premium». All three use the same assembly concept, are 54 centimeters deep, and are available in the colors beige, fango, and white. Depending on the width and height, they fit into the bedroom, hallway, office, children's room, or storage room.

According to the manufacturer, you can disassemble and reassemble each cabinet as often as you like. If your wardrobe grows, you can expand the cabinet in width with additional add-on elements: you remove the side panel, attach the additional element, and reattach the side panel.

The interiors of the variants also build on each other. The «Basic» equipment includes clothes rails and shelves, «Classic» adds more shelves, and «Premium» additionally includes drawers that you can use flexibly. You can adjust the height of the clothes rails and shelves.

«Lunik» Basic: handleless with push-to-open

The «Lunik» does without handles. You open its doors via push-to-open, i.e., with a light press on the front.

«Mylora» Classic and Premium: metal handles and soft-close

The «Mylora», on the other hand, relies on metal handles. Its doors hang on soft-close hinges, which are designed to close them gently and quietly. In the «Classic» version, you get additional shelves for folded clothing, accessories, and linens. The «Mylora Classic» is available in heights of 212 and 231 centimeters.
