Need a break from the city noise but the sea is too far away? In this case, I recommend the Swiss mountains. As the snow disappears, so do noisy après-skiers, making it the perfect moment to head to the mountains and enjoy some peace and quiet. Leave your mobile phone behind and enjoy nature and the company of your friends. «Digital Detox» at its best.
If you’re the lucky winner of a voucher worth CHF 300.–, you can book an alpine hut on e-domizil AG. e-domizil AG is a Swiss holiday home specialist, offering a large number of holiday rentals in more than 70 countries. Book a stay in any of these alpine huts.
What’s called a «Maiensäss» in Switzerland is a mountain pasture hut that’s located below the tree line, between the valley and the alp (from about 1000-1600 metres above sea level). Alpine huts above the tree line are often referred to in German as «Alphütte».
There may be large differences in how well alpine huts are equipped. On e-domizil, you’ll find very simple huts with minimal equipment, which means you’ll live like our ancestors without running hot water and electricity. If you prefer more comfort, you'll find renovated alpine huts with a fully equipped kitchen, internet access and even a hot pot.
Staying in an alpine hut isn’t only relaxing, it’s also ideal for many outdoor adventures such as hiking, mountain biking, checking insta (...no, not this time), wildlife viewing, mushroom hunting and many more activities.
All active members of our Community regularly get the chance to win concert tickets, event entries, vouchers and much more. Answer the question below correctly by 19 May 2019 to take part in our competition. We’ll inform all winners by e-mail. Good luck!
