Looks like water, but can do more!

What looks like H₂O from a spray bottle is actually a powerful tool that should never be missing from your make-up bag. I'll tell you what you can do with setting sprays and how they can take your make-up game to the next level.
Setting sprays, also known as fixing sprays, are fabulous beauty products. I can still remember a time when I vehemently resisted spending money on something that couldn't be more similar to water. Understandable, but from today's perspective completely ignorant. Because what followed came close to an epiphany. I bought the "Fix+" from MAC and lo and behold: these things actually fulfil a purpose. No wait, they actually fulfil several. I'll reveal six of them to you here:
1. prime time
Fixing sprays are perfect for use as a moisturising primer. Simply spray them on your face before applying make-up and leave to dry briefly.
2. the best friend of your make-up sponge
If you use a beauty sponge to apply your make-up, you will have noticed that it often dries out a little during the application process. With a fixing spray, you can moisten the sponge slightly at any time without having to hold it under running water.
3. make-up that lasts
Some sprays are explicitly designed to set your make-up for the long term, while others simply give your look a specific finish, such as a luminous glow or a mattifying touch.
4. look natural despite lots of make-up
I don't know about you, but I don't like it when my face looks like I've applied powder. Especially after several layers, the result can look quite matte and almost dry. This is where the original idea behind setting sprays comes into play: they give your make-up the final touch. Simply spray briefly over your face and watch how the moisture combines with the applied powder. Everything blends together and the skin immediately looks much fresher and more natural.

5. Pimp grotty eyeshadows
Unpigmented eyeshadows are a thing of the past. With a setting spray, you can easily pimp up those colours that have disappointed you in their intensity. Simply spray your brush before or after applying some of the eyeshadow. The moisture will make your eyeshadow glow much more intensely, almost like a cream product. You can also use the same principle to apply pigments or to make your highlighter shimmer even more intensely.
6. fresh
Last but not least, they are a real blessing in warm temperatures and can easily be used as a refreshing snack. Furthermore, they not only even out the complexion, but also soothe and revitalise with ingredients such as green tea or caffeine.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
