LalaSophie doesn't want to give this juicer back

"This thing suddenly appeared in my kitchen and I asked myself one question: Why have I only discovered it now?" We sent our dessert blogger LalaSophie the Multi Juicer from Solis. Although she hates food processors, she wants to keep the juicer.
Now is the time for homemade juices & Co. Many types of fruit are in season and fresh fruit and vegetables taste best during the season anyway. The Multi Slow Juicer from Solis is a juicer, smoothie maker & ice-cream dessert maker in one appliance. Thanks to interchangeable inserts, the appliance is multifunctional.

My experience with the juicer
After the first test runs, I can say: crushing frozen fruit and making smoothies works perfectly. The machine runs cleanly and quietly for its size. And thanks to the brush supplied, it is very pleasant and easy to clean. I should mention at this point: I hate food processors. Especially because of the tedious cleaning. But with this appliance, it's quick and easy. In no time at all - swear!
Smoothies and slushies made from frozen fruit are super trendy. Slushies resemble sorbet and are very popular. The normal juice almost gets a little lost in the shuffle... After the first tests with blending and freezing, I dedicated myself to juicing. I had a lot of fun with it. There are a thousand delicious combinations - that's why I'm going into a little more detail today and serving you four recipes for super tasty and healthy fruit juices below.
But first, a little theory about juicing and why it's worth considering such an appliance.
Fruit and vegetable juices contain many healthy ingredients. This is not surprising, as there are 2-3 whole oranges in a glass of orange juice. This means that your body receives many vitamins, minerals and trace elements with every glass of freshly squeezed juice. Diluted with cold mineral water, fruit juices are also a perfect thirst quencher in summer - and especially now when it's hot, you should drink enough.
Fresh juices are also a great way to lose weight. With a juice diet, the excess kilos fall off quite quickly. However, you should make sure that you alternate between fruit and vegetable juices, as fruit juices alone contain more acid and sugar than vegetable juices. And you probably shouldn't drink litres of juice - but regularly replacing a meal with a glass of juice is very effective. However, I am neither a nutritionist nor a doctor and am simply passing on my own experiences.
Short how-to on the Multi Slow Juicer
As mentioned above, the multi in the name stands for the multifunctionality of this appliance. It is not only a juicer but also makes smoothies (thicker fruit juices) and so-called slushie ice cream desserts from frozen fruit.
The most important thing with this juicer is that you wash, peel, core and, if necessary, chop the fruit or vegetables before you put them in the appliance. This is essential, especially with firm fruit or vegetables such as carrots, as otherwise you will clog up the machine and ultimately break it.
When juicing, you can make many types of juice in succession - simply run some water through the juicer between each new type.
Therefore, two collection containers are supplied. The juice goes into the first one, and the leftovers into the second: this means pieces of fruit that could not be juiced or the squeezed vegetable and fruit leftovers.
I have become a big fan of this machine and will be using it often. Super fresh, natural fruit juices, and above all: no added sugar.
Recipe ideas
And now, as promised, here are my 4 favourite juices. The recipes are each for approx. 2.5 dl, i.e. a glass full of juice.
My favourite is definitely the blueberry grape juice.

It doesn't look particularly pretty - but it tastes wonderful. With a subtle sweetness and lots of blueberry flavour.
You need:
- 100 grams of blueberries
- 250 grams of grapes
Wash and destem the fruit and then juice it.
PS: You must enjoy this juice fresh - the blueberries contain pectin and this causes the juice to gel when you store it.
No. 2 on my personal favourite list is this combination: Orange carrot ginger juice

For this you need:
- 2 oranges, peeled, in pieces
- 2 smaller carrots, peeled and cut into 3-cm cubes
- 1 small piece of fresh ginger, peeled
I also made this very simple strawberry and lime juice:

This is what you juice for:
- 200 grams of strawberries, washed and hulled
- 1 orange, peeled, in pieces
- ½ lime, peeled
And last but not least, there's apricot-nectarine-orange juice.

The oranges are needed in this case, otherwise the juice will be too thick.
- 4 apricots, halved and pitted
- 1 nectarine, pitted and cut into cubes
- 1 orange, peeled, in pieces
Juice the fruit and enjoy fresh, sweet and delicious juice
.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Multi Slow Juicer from Solis. It's great fun juicing with it and creating new types of juice. My son, who otherwise disdains fruit and vegetables, loves drinking the fresh juices. I myself also notice how it does me good.
LalaSophie received the Solis Multi Juicer from us for testing. She wanted to keep it instead of a fee.
