The Wave Pro aims to combine the advantages of oscillating and vibrating toothbrushes. It is powered by a rechargeable battery that is supposed to last up to 70 days.

Rotating brush head or vibration technology? When buying an electric toothbrush, you usually have to make a decision. With the Wave Pro from Laifen, you get both. According to the manufacturer, it is the first electric toothbrush in the world to combine oscillation and vibration.

The Wave Pro is now available from us in five different colours.

Higher coverage and gum protection

As with sonic toothbrushes, the brush head of the Wave Pro vibrates up to 66,000 times per minute. At the same time, it performs lateral brushing movements. With a swivelling angle of up to 60 degrees, the brush covers a large tooth surface.

Many people press their toothbrush too hard against their teeth when brushing. This is harmful to gums and exposed tooth necks. The Wave Pro alerts you to excessive pressure with a signal tone and also reduces the motor speed to protect your gums. The arrangement of bristles of different thicknesses on the two brush heads supplied is designed to ensure that the spaces between the teeth are also cleaned.

The model offers two cleaning programmes, each with three intensity levels: daily cleaning and deep cleaning. You can further adapt the programmes to your needs in the accompanying smartphone app. The app also provides tips on your brushing behaviour.

Up to 70 days of battery life

A battery charge lasts for up to 70 days with four minutes of standard daily cleaning, according to the manufacturer. The toothbrush is IPX8 waterproof

If you want to find out how the toothbrush performs in everyday use, my colleague Martin is currently testing it. You'll find his report in our magazine soon.
