Just in the shop: New ski helmets and ski goggles from Giro
If you are looking for a ski helmet or ski goggles, one of the new models from Giro could be relevant for you or your child.
On the piste, it's not just skill that counts, but also protection and visibility. A helmet protects your head in the event of a fall, while good ski goggles ensure clear vision in changing light conditions. Giro is launching new models that prioritise function and fit.
Ski helmets
The «Crüe» is a helmet with a hard shell construction and customisable fit system. It is suitable for everyday use on the piste if you want solid protection with a good fit. Although the model is specifically designed for children, it can also be used by adults with a smaller head circumference of up to 59 centimetres.

The «Ledge MIPS» is a compact hard shell helmet with a clear technical focus. The combination of ABS outer shell, EPS inner layer and MIPS reduces the impact force in the event of a fall and adds rotational damping to the classic impact protection. The sizes cover the entire adult range.
A finely adjustable fit system stabilises the fit, while openings at the upper edge of the helmet improve the airflow between the helmet and ski goggles and thus reduce fogging of the lens.
The «Neo MIPS» uses an in-mould construction in which the outer shell and EPS inner layer are directly bonded together. This reduces the weight and ensures a compact design. As with the Ledge, MIPS is also used here to minimise rotational forces in the event of angled falls.
Ventilation is controlled via adjustable openings. This allows you to react to changing temperature conditions and activity levels. The fit system employs a dial and additional vertical adjustment so that you can adapt the helmet more precisely to the shape of your head. This positions the «Neo MIPS» as a technically broader model that is designed for both comfort and variable conditions of use.
Ski goggles
When it comes to vision, Giro relies on two models with extended fields of vision and high-contrast lenses.
The «Contour Vivid» uses a toric lens, which is designed to increase the field of vision and reduce distortion. The Vivid lenses work towards better contrast, while the EVAK ventilation is designed to wick away moisture more quickly. A quick-change system facilitates use in changing light conditions. The variants differ primarily in frame colour and lens choice, for example between brighter Vivid lenses for sunny days and higher contrast options for flat light.
The «Method II Vivid» is more compact, but also uses Vivid lenses. Two lenses for different light conditions are included in the scope of delivery. The flexible frame and multi-layer padding ensure a stable fit, while the ventilation construction is designed to reduce fogging. Here too, Giro offers several variants that differ in terms of colour and lens cut: from models for brighter conditions to versions that are designed to provide better contours in diffuse light.
