ISPO 2019: Airboard presents the lightest SUP in the world

The SUP has lost weight. The "Ultralight Edition" from Airboard weighs just over five kilos, packs up small and can be inflated with a carry bag and paddle.

At first glance, it's just another SUP, of which there are quite a few on display at ISPO 2019 in Munich. But it's worth taking a closer look at the Airboard models. The Swiss manufacturer won a Gold Award for its "Ultralight SUP Concept", which is not only lightweight but also cleverly thought out down to the last detail.

The transport bag and paddle serve as pumps. The compressible bag quickly adds volume to the board. And the paddle has a kind of bicycle pump that allows you to build up a lot of pressure at the end. You can see what this looks like in the video above.

The (folding) measure of all things

In order to be not only light but also compact when travelling, the deck pad is designed so that it can be folded lengthways and rolled up particularly small. As with the weight, this reduces the board's packing size by around 50 per cent. You don't lug around anything that is superfluous. Every part has a new function.

The transport bag first becomes a pump, then a drybag for your belongings, which can be attached to the deck with its straps. And the board's carrying strap can also be used as a leash. Smaller, lighter, more multifunctional. An exciting option for anyone who doesn't drive to the shore by car.

Update 26.03.2019: You can now also find the Airboard Ultralight in our range. [[productlist:10845717]]
