Galaxus chooses Krefeld as logistics site for German market entry

The logistical backbone of online retailer Galaxus Deutschland is located in Krefeld-Fichtenhain, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The sales platform with Swiss roots is expanding to Europe and currently in the final stages of launching its German «Galaxus» shop.

Galaxus is crossing the border with its successful Swiss concept – a carefully selected range of products, clever filter options, informative and inspiring editorial content as well as many possibilities for an active exchange with other customers. The shop will initially be launched with an IT and electronics range. Further categories, including home, fashion and toys, will follow.

Galaxus Deutschland is the subsidiary of Digitec Galaxus AG, Switzerland’s largest online retailer with headquarters in Zurich. While Digitec.ch specialises in IT, consumer electronics and telecommunications, Galaxus.ch is the largest Swiss online department store with a large range of products catering for both everyday and specific needs. With the launch of Galaxus Germany, the Swiss e-commerce pioneers are expanding beyond national borders for the first time.
