Four brands, four concepts: Mobile phone cases for your iPhone 17 are now available

Whether minimalist or extremely robust: mobile phone cases cover a variety of needs. Panzerglass, UAG, Pitaka and Eiger offer suitable series.
Your smartphone is in constant use. One drop from the edge of a table is often enough - and the display cracks or the back splinters. A suitable case significantly reduces this risk. The following series from Panzerglass, UAG, Pitaka and Eiger take different approaches. They differ in terms of material, degree of protection and suitability for everyday use.
UAG: Monarch Pro and Metropolis
UAG (Urban Armor Gear) stands for robust designs. The Monarch Pro series is the flagship. It combines five layers of protection, including metal and rubber. The case fulfils military standards for drop tests and is MagSafe compatible. The design is angular, technical and eye-catching. Weight and volume are high. This is not a mobile phone case for minimalists.
The Metropolis series is more functional. It offers a flip cover with a card compartment and is made of water-repellent material. According to the manufacturer, the protection is solid, but not as extreme as the Monarch Pro. The case is suitable for users who also use their smartphone as a wallet replacement and value a closed front.

Pitaka: Aramid UltraGuard and SlimGuard
Pitaka takes a different approach. The Aramid UltraGuard series is made of aramid fibre, a material that is also used in aviation. According to the manufacturer, the cover is extremely thin yet robust. It is designed to protect against scratches and light impacts without obscuring the design of the smartphone. MagSafe is integrated and the finish is matt and smooth.
The SlimGuard series is even more minimalist. It dispenses with additional reinforcements and favours an ultra-thin profile. The protection is limited, but the smartphone remains virtually unchanged in the hand. SlimGuard is aimed at users who prioritise aesthetics and low weight.

Panzerglass: Samba Case and Urban Explorer
Panzerglass focuses on clean lines and simple functionality with the Samba case series. The cases are made from recycled material, are lightweight and are designed to offer solid protection against everyday wear and tear. The focus is on sustainability and suitability for everyday use. The feel should be non-slip, the design understated.
The cases in the Urban Explorer series go one step further. They are more robust, with reinforced corners and a textured surface for a better grip. Panzerglass has integrated additional features such as MagSafe compatibility. For additional protection, the manufacturer offers separately available display films that can be combined with the case. The cases in the Urban Explorer series are significantly heavier than the Samba, but are also more resistant.

Eiger: North Case and Blizzard
Eiger combines outdoor design with functional protection. The North Case series is designed for use in cold and wet conditions. The case is thick, rubberised and, according to the manufacturer, offers high impact resistance. It should fit securely in the hand even when wearing gloves. There are also eyelets on the case for carrying straps.
The Blizzard series is somewhat lighter and more urban. According to the manufacturer, it also offers good fall protection. The surface is smooth and the design is simpler. Blizzard is suitable for users who are looking for a robust case but do not expect extreme outdoor conditions.
