A backpack for the office and everyday life? This Fjällräven model does it all
by Laura Scholz
I scroll through our fashion range every day. To give you a small but nice overview, I'll introduce you to a product that I like every week. Today: a rucksack.
Mistakes are there to be learnt from. Pah, if it were that easy. In the case of my travel luggage, I am unteachable. Before every departure, I pack up my seven things and grab a weekender. As my suitcase has often not arrived at my holiday destination, I transport my favourite things in my hand luggage. I regret this, especially on long flights with a stopover, because I'm constantly scrubbing my fingers raw while carrying my luggage. Of course, my bag doesn't have shoulder handles. That's why I finally want to buy a rucksack. As I've already had my fill of the Kanken model from Fjällräven, I need another one. One like the "Daypack" from Aevor.
Sustainability is of great importance to the Aevor brand, which was founded in Germany in 2016: up to 50 per cent of the outer fabric of its accessories is made from recycled PET bottles. For this purpose, colourless plastic bottles are crushed, cleaned and melted down. The resulting mass is formed into threads, which are cut into 3 millimetre sticks. These are then liquefied again and spun into yarn. The resulting white fabric is then printed and coated to make it water-repellent.

What also speaks in favour of this model: its size adjustability. Because I carry too many things around with me, I'm glad that I can open up the backpack if necessary. This increases its volume or capacity from 18 to 28 litres. Thanks to the padded back section and ergonomically shaped shoulder straps, I can walk through the endless airport halls a little more relaxed in future.
