The "Deebot X9 Pro Omni" is the new flagship model from Ecovacs. With its suction and mopping functions, the device is designed to adapt intelligently to various cleaning tasks. We now have the robot in our shop.

The centrepiece of the «X9 Pro Omni» is the BLAST technology («Boosted Large-Airflow Suction Technology») developed by Ecovacs. According to the manufacturer, this achieves an airflow of 16.3 litres per second with a maximum suction power of 16,600 pascals. This brings the robot close to well-known handheld hoovers.

Self-cleaning mopping function with high contact pressure

When mopping, Ecovacs relies on a roller system with continuous self-cleaning. At a rotation speed of 220 revolutions per minute, the dirty water is scraped off and replaced with fresh water.

A special feature is the triple-lift system, in which the side brush, main brush and mopping roller react automatically to surfaces. On carpets, for example, the mopping roller lifts to prevent water damage, while the suction power is automatically increased.

If the robot encounters spilt liquids, the brushes should lift up to prevent them from getting dirty. According to the manufacturer, the appliance recognises the difference between stubborn stains and light soiling and adjusts the cleaning process accordingly.

Navigation is via an RGB camera and light sensors.

Base station with hot air drying

The associated station has a cleaning and air drying system. A temperature of 63 degrees is said to dry the mop completely within two hours and prevent odours from forming.

The base station can also be connected directly to fresh water and drainage as an option.

The maintenance intervals are generous: The dust tray holds three litres and, according to the manufacturer, only needs to be emptied every 90 days, while the mop plate should work maintenance-free for 150 days.

Technical data

The Deebot X9 Pro Omni measures 35.3 × 35.2 × 9.8 centimetres and weighs 12.8 kilograms. The 6,400 mAh lithium-ion battery is said to last up to 158 minutes before the robot needs to refuel.
