Candles: these trends are conquering our interiors
From batik and Greek columns to colour blocking - these are the new candle trends.
For some, candles are just romantic sources of light, for others they are home accessories in their own right - regardless of whether they are lit or not. I'll show you five candle trends that will probably keep the lighter at bay for the time being.
1. colour gradients
Candles may be ephemeral as soon as you light them. But some trends are not. Candles with a batik look will be with us again this year. Only now they're more unusual than before. They are now multicoloured and have artistic gradients that could be inspired by landscapes.

2. ripple look
Twist candles are still perennial favourites, but this year they need to make way for new designs: For example, for stick and pillar candles that are grooved and resemble Greek columns. They bring a change to traditional Christmas decorations and their structure creates a special flair on the dining table or Advent wreath.

3. colour-blocking
Instead of white candles, more and more brightly coloured wax candles are now sticking out from chests of drawers, windowsills and coffee tables. They ignore the fact that some colours clash and deliberately let pink clash with orange or yellow with blue. Because in this way, otherwise inconspicuous shapes are emphasised. They even combine rich and pastel colours to create accents.

4. bubble design
They already popped up here and there last year, but they are only really catching on this year: Bubbly candles. With their curves, they nestle into their surroundings and sometimes even mutate into art objects. They add an elegant touch to any interior. Especially when they are in shades of grey or nude. The more colourful they are, the more playful the look.

5. soft ice cream colours
Whether bubble, ripple or twist - many candles have been given a colourful update in addition to their shape. With pastel colours reminiscent of sunshine and ice cream, they can brighten up the mood in the darker months of the year. The cheerful decoration works best as a mixed group.
