Brown instead of black – trust me and just try it!

You’ll find plenty of black mascaras and eyeliners on every make-up shelf. However, brown is often the more flattering alternative. It’s a simple trick that makes a big difference.

When it comes to make-up, black looks harsh on me. That’s why I’ve started using brown mascara, eyeliner and kajal lately. It makes my make-up look more natural and softens my features. How come? Well, brown harmonises better with many skin tones, while black creates a strong contrast. I like going for a harsh look sometimes, but in everyday life, it’s not me anymore.

You can use the same trick when it comes to eyeshadow. Do you usually go for black eyeshadow to add dimension to your look? Try a dark, rich chocolate brown. It won’t look less dramatic, but will create a softer transition from the eyeshadow to your skin. This especially makes blending a lot easier.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
