Beanie-less into the new year: 3 cool beanie alternatives
One accessory that we can't do without at this time of year, for obvious reasons, is the good old knitted hat. But what if we dared to try something new this winter? Three suggestions.
The trend cannot be overlooked: Everyone loves fluffy things right now! Ugg boots are back, wool coats and down jackets are giving way to a wave of cosy faux-fur alternatives. The trend is even visible on heads. Because those who dare have recently swapped their standard knitted hat, which is worn up and down, for a warm fur hat.
What, you don't have one yet? Then it's high time you did. How about one of these nine models?
Cosy bucket hats
Bucket hats, or fisherman's hats, have traditionally been made of nylon, cotton or denim - and more so in warmer seasons. While they primarily serve as sun protection, they now keep our heads and ears warm in winter. And they're a lot cooler than a normal beanie.

Lined aviator hats
A hat is all well and good - but in the depths of winter, it's still cold in your ears. If you're familiar with this problem, you can either follow the product recommendations from my colleague Stephanie Vinzens, or give these aviator hats, also known as trapper hats, a chance. They protect your ears with practical flaps and reach down to the back of your neck. Whistling wind is no longer a problem for you.

Fluffy fur hoods
Somehow just a hat, but anything but boring: fur bonnets are a good starter model for anyone who wants to try out life - or at least this winter - without a beanie. You can choose between completely fluffy or just a wide, fluffy brim. Choose your fighter.
