40 years ago Dr. Max Huber set out to find a cure for his scarred face. Inspired by the power of the sea, he chose nutrient-rich seaweed as the main ingredient for his formula, until his revolutionary three- to four-month bio-fermentation process produced the elixir "Miracle Broth". An elixir that would soon become known for its almost healing properties and is at the heart of the legendary "Crème de la Mer". It took twelve years and thousands of experiments until the formula was perfect and produced the results we see today. Today there are various care products of the La Mer brand, all of which are based on this formula.
