To protect themselves from foreign intruders, oysters and other mollusks produce a shiny, pearly substance known as mother-of-pearl. Mother-of-pearl accumulates around the foreign object and coats the inside of the oyster shell. The end result is a shimmering, porcelain-like shell with stunning shades of green and pink.

Adherents of Eastern traditions associate mother-of-pearl with protection, wisdom, and luck, often making it the centerpiece of amulets and talismans.

In this men's bracelet, square mother-of-pearl beads alternate with beads made of surgical stainless steel. The carved motif on the stainless steel beads is inspired by Greek and Roman architecture, providing a striking contrast to the smooth, silky feel of the mother-of-pearl.

Due to their natural origin, each mother-of-pearl bead exhibits variations in color and pattern.

The bracelet closes securely with a braided clasp, which is engraved with the Waykins logo. It is easily adjustable to fit comfortably around your wrist. Simply hold one end with your middle finger at the base of your thumb and pull the loose end tight with your other hand.
