The Gant Tactical is constructed with three layers and features a waterproof, breathable membrane. It is waterproof, breathable, and lightweight (60 g). This membrane prevents water from reaching the skin while allowing sweat to escape.

In developing the Gant Tactical, various fabrics were used to ensure optimal freedom and mobility of the hand.

The more elastic part at the top of the knuckles allows for greater freedom when making a fist. Small openings at the finger joints also enable the fingers to close without straining the fabric.

A softer area on the outside of the thumb allows for wiping your nose in the cold (a common gesture) without irritation. An effective grip covers the palm and the inside of the fingers for maximum control.

The tips of the index finger and thumb are equipped with touchscreen functionality. For visibility at night, the Gant features reflective material at the wrist.
