Made from 100% recycled polyester sourced from recycled plastic bottles, which are shredded into flakes in a Brazilian factory and then processed into fibers. Three plastic bottles are needed to produce one pair of VEJA shoes. B-Mesh is a lightweight, breathable, and water-repellent fabric. Cotton serves as a leather substitute. This material is a vegan alternative to leather. A canvas made of 100% organic cotton, coated with P.U., corn starch, and castor oil. 54% bio-based. This suede, originating from Jacareí in the state of São Paulo, is a 100% vegan, synthetic textile and an alternative to animal-produced suede. It is a non-woven fabric made from microfibers that are needle-punched together and impregnated with P.U. resin. This solvent-free process is less toxic than the methods used to produce traditional synthetic suede.
