The suede is made from the underside of cowhide, which has been brushed to make it softer and more flexible. It comes from farms in southern Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul) and is also tanned in Brazil, following REACH standards. Again, special attention is given to water consumption during the tanning process. Additionally, the suede is treated with PFC-free water-repellent oils to protect the sneakers from light rain.
