The fair and sustainably produced sneakers from the French shoe label Veja combine a good conscience with a sense of style. The SDU Rec Alveomesh model is a vegan sneaker. The Alveomesh is a technical fabric made entirely from recycled polyester, providing the shoe with breathability, flexibility, and lightness. The suede sourced from Jacareí in the state of São Paulo is a 100% vegan synthetic textile, serving as an alternative to animal-derived suede. It is a non-woven fabric made from microfibers that are needle-punched together and impregnated with P.U. resin. This solvent-free process is less toxic than the methods used to produce traditional synthetic suede.
