The Veja Campo women's sneaker features an abrasion-resistant lining made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, providing you with great flexibility and high wearing comfort thanks to its mesh structure. The upper material of the shoe is made from lightweight, smooth chrome-free leather sourced from farms in southern Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul. An innovative tanning process that avoids heavy metals, chrome, and harmful acids is used for the leather. This simplified tanning process also consumes fewer chemicals and energy, as well as 40% less water and 80% less salt. The water used can be reused after tanning.

The brand Veja (pronounced: "vehscha") was founded to create shoes with a new concept, ensuring that neither the workers nor the environment suffer during production. Therefore, all production takes place in Brazil, where Veja collaborates with producers of organic cotton and natural rubber. These producers are informed in advance about how much they will be paid per kilo for their products. The shoes are then stitched in factories that adhere to the rules of the International Labour Organization. This makes the production of a Veja sneaker five times more expensive than that of a conventional sneaker.
