Blephasteam is a unique device designed to heat the eyelids to alleviate symptoms of meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) and related conditions. It offers electronically controlled moisture and heat therapy to help release the meibomian glands. Blephasteam is a CE-certified medical device that aids in relieving symptoms of MGD and associated eye conditions such as posterior blepharitis, meibomitis, ocular rosacea, chalazion, contact lens intolerance, and dry eye. By unlocking the meibomian glands, it improves tear quality, positively impacting eye health, vision, and comfort. Blephasteam was developed in collaboration with ophthalmologists and is based on scientific studies indicating that daily application of heat and moisture has beneficial effects on various MGD conditions. Unlike some alternative eyelid heating devices, such as hot compresses, Blephasteam is electronically controlled to maintain stable heat throughout the treatment duration.
