The dragon is the fifth sign of the twelve-year lunar calendar. This reflects the traditional story in which the Jade Emperor had the twelve zodiac animals race across a river to determine the order in which they would be entered into the calendar. Those born in the year of the Chinese dragon in 2024, 2012, 2000, 1988, 1976, and every twelfth preceding year are considered ambitious, successful, and charismatic. This special investment coin from the Perth Mint is limited to a worldwide mintage of only 20,000 pieces. The coin is delivered in an original coin capsule.
