Samsonite was founded in 1910 by Jesse Shwayder in Denver and initially produced heavy wooden trunks. Later, the company was renamed Shwayder Brothers, Inc., but it was not until the introduction of the Samsonite Streamline in 1941 that the brand we know today was developed. This product and/or its packaging are made from recycled materials. This process is more environmentally friendly as raw materials do not need to be newly sourced with high effort. Yogurt cups, single-use bottles, plastic waste, and film packaging are incorporated into the manufacturing process through recycling.
