The horse, the seventh sign of the twelve-year lunar calendar, represents energy, freedom, speed, independence, and determination in Chinese culture. This reflects the traditional story in which the Jade Emperor had the twelve zodiac animals race across a river to determine the order in which they would be entered into the calendar. People born in the Year of the Horse are considered lively, intelligent, and adventurous. This silver coin in proof quality was minted from 31.39 g of 999.9% pure silver. The proof (PP) finish is particularly sought after by collectors and is one of the most elaborate manufacturing processes for a coin. It is strictly limited to a mintage of 18,888 pieces. The coin's design side features a horse in a dynamic pose, surrounded by jasmine flowers. The horse is intricately detailed and has a floral pattern on its skin. On the left side of the horse, there is a Chinese character representing "horse" (馬). At the top of the coin, "CANADA" is inscribed in large letters, with the year "2026" to the right and the denomination "15 DOLLARS" indicated below.

On the reverse side of the coin, you will find the portrait of British King Charles III and the inscription "CHARLES III D.G.REX.".
