Product details
The Royal Australian Mint has immortalized Australia’s most iconic animal as part of its ongoing Kangaroo series. As the 31st issue of the Kangaroo series, this coin features the iconic Red Kangaroo and its home in Australia’s red center. Life in the desert is harsh and unforgiving, yet the Red Kangaroo has adapted to this environment and can go for long periods without water. However, when it does find water, the desert dweller enjoys a long, cool drink.
The proof coin (PP) is particularly sought after by collectors and is one of the most elaborate minting processes for a coin. This exclusive silver coin is limited to a worldwide mintage of 5,000 pieces. The coin comes in its original coin case, including a certificate of authenticity. The reverse side depicts a kangaroo drinking thirstily at a waterhole. The coin's shine symbolizes the scorching heat of the desert, while the design creates a strong contrast between the harsh environment and the sparkling water surface. In the center, the denomination "1 Dollar" is visible. Additionally, the upper part of the coin features the inscription "1 oz .999 Ag." The obverse side shows the portrait of King Charles III, designed by Daniel Thorne. The portrait is surrounded by the inscriptions "Charles III" and "Australia 2024.".
