Our engineers designed these sunglasses for hiking. They are ideal for occasional mountain hikes.

The lenses block 100% of harmful UV rays, and category 3 protects against glare. They are lightweight glasses with a good fit that provide optimal protection while hiking.

Our lenses are made from polycarbonate – a material that is highly impact-resistant but not particularly scratch-resistant. Even if the lenses get scratched, UV protection remains fully intact; the mirrored effect is purely aesthetic. The same applies to the color of the sunglasses. Whether gray, brown, or colored, the protection applies to every color.

The classification of tinted lenses according to ISO 12312-1 is as follows:

• Category 1: lightly tinted lenses for reduced sunlight.
• Category 2: moderately tinted lenses for medium sunlight.
• Category 3: darkly tinted lenses for strong sunlight (sea and mountains), absorbing between 82% and 92% of visible light.
• Category 4: very darkly tinted lenses for exceptional sunlight (high mountains), absorbing between 92% and 97% of visible light.

Why use a material with UV protection? To protect your eyes from invisible UV rays. UV rays are always present, in winter, summer, sunny weather, and even on cloudy days, which can be harmful to the eyes. To preserve eyesight, the lenses of our sunglasses are made from polycarbonate mixed with a material that provides UV protection to shield the eyes from harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Our sunglasses accompany you on your mountain hikes. However, over time, the lenses may get scratched. For the repair of your sunglasses, you can choose between polarized lenses or non-polarized ones and easily and quickly replace them yourself. Repair instead of discard!.
