Material Merino Wool: Since 1995, merino wool has been an integral part of Ortovox's mountain wear. Wool is naturally ecological and therefore particularly sustainable. The merino wool comes from happy sheep raised in controlled, species-appropriate farming in Tasmania, which is regularly monitored. Due to its fine fiber diameter, merino wool is extremely soft and comfortable against the skin. It ensures an optimal body climate, as it regulates moisture and temperature, and also neutralizes unpleasant odors.
