Ortovox Peak 35

The Peak 35 backpack is designed for high-altitude trekking. Made from extremely tear- and abrasion-resistant 420D Manstar nylon, the backpack is very robust. For high carrying comfort, it features wide and padded shoulder and hip straps that distribute the load evenly between the shoulders and hips. A circumferential front zipper allows direct access to the main compartment. The Peak 35 also stands out with a separate safety pocket, attachment options for rope, ice axe, and crampons, as well as a separate map pocket and a hip pouch. It is also equipped with a hydration system preparation and displays alpine emergency signals.

What makes this backpack special is the back system made of pressed Swiss wool. Just like with clothing, mountaineers benefit from the unique moisture and climate management of wool, resulting in a comfortable and dry feeling on the back. The wool can absorb almost 30 times more moisture than a comparable foam back and is nearly 7% more breathable. Another advantage of wool is that the surface of the back system dries faster. The full-contact back fits snugly against the body and offers optimal weight distribution. Additionally, the back construction consists of two aluminum stays, providing high stability and comfort even under heavy loads.
