Nike Field General Union LA Shimmer

The Nike Field General Union LA Shimmer is a collaboration between Nike and the streetwear boutique Union LA. This silhouette reimagines the '80s football cleat as a lifestyle silhouette that elevates any outfit. The Nike x Union LA Shimmer sneaker features an upper base of lightweight, breathable rusty red mesh. Overlays in pale beige leather and suede adorn the upper, adding style and support. A UM/LA branding tag in bright yellow on the lateral eyestays matches the decorative stitching on the lateral overlay. A Nike Swoosh in a cut-out window on the heel counter rests just below the Nike wordmark on the heel tab. The brown midsole with its cupsole construction sits atop a brown rubber outsole with a modified waffle traction pattern that resembles cleats. One detail we particularly enjoy about this sneaker is the use of pink webbing with reflective detailing on the upper. This webbing forms the uppermost eyestays, as well as a pull loop on the heel. The Nike Field General Union LA Shimmer was released on June 27, 2024, for $120 retail.
