The Made in USA 990v6 takes this original mandate and incorporates a series of performance-oriented updates. The upper eliminates the standard midfoot saddle, allowing the suede and synthetic overlays to flow from the heel to the toes over the mesh base, creating a fast, streamlined look. While the revamped design represents one of the most dramatic changes from one model generation to the next that the 990 has ever experienced, the biggest leap forward occurs on the inside. The added cushioning of the FuelCell midsole means that the evolution of the 990 is not only visible but also tangible.
