The hand-knitted woollen hats are made from pure sheep's wool without any additives. The sheep are travelling with shepherds and graze in the Serra da Estrela. Each thread of wool has been individually checked and test-knitted. Wool of the highest quality was selected. It has been carefully processed without chemical additives and may therefore contain straw residues. However, most residues have been removed manually with tweezers. The wool is of course mulesing-free.

This hat was knitted by Isabel in the Caritas studio in Coimbra. Friendly treatment and fair payment of the workers is particularly important to all of them. The employees are very proud to be able to produce something with market value, as most of them have been excluded from working life for years.
