The Saphena Thigh High Anti-Embolism Stockings with Grips from Medalin are specially designed to reduce the risk of blood clots in the legs. These medical compression stockings provide graduated compression that is strongest at the ankle and decreases towards the top. By compressing the superficial veins, arteries and muscles, the circulating blood is forced through narrower channels, which increases arterial pressure and promotes the return of blood to the heart. The stockings are certified as a Class 1 medical device and comply with the latest European standards for graduated compression. With a compression level of 18 mmHg at the ankle and 14 mmHg at the calf, they offer effective protection against deep vein thrombosis. They also have a non-slip sole that minimises the risk of falls on slippery surfaces. These thigh highs are available in different sizes and can be machine washed.
