In designing the hat, ManyMonths was aware that not only the head needs protection, but also the forehead and neck. That’s why the brim of the summer hat is much wider than that of most summer hats.

Hemp is a breathable material that feels cool, making it ideal for hot summer weather. The ManyMonths hats are lightweight and soft, allowing them to be used even during naptime. Hemp is good for the soil and water.

Hemp grows quickly and requires little watering, pesticides, or herbicides. Its deep roots anchor and aerate the soil in which they grow. Hemp produces more fiber than trees, cotton, or flax (linen). Like hemp, cotton is a natural fiber; however, conventional cotton often contains pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers. Conventional cotton endangers health, water, and the safety of farm workers.
