Tinted with a PVD coating. Overheated titanium nitride is shot onto the ring in a vacuum chamber, merging it with the metal on a molecular level. Only a minimal amount of material is wasted, and no toxic liquids are spilled, making the process much better for the environment than other surface treatments. The ultra-thin layer that forms is scratch- and tarnish-resistant and will neither fade nor peel.
