Titanium is named in honor of the titans of Greek mythology, which might lead you to believe it is as heavy as the cumbersome giants of ancient times. However, it is only half the weight of steel and yet much stronger. It is corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and strong, and well... titanium.

The black color of the Aesop Kash is achieved through physical vapor deposition. In PVD, titanium nitride is heated to a plasma state and shot onto the ring's surface in a vacuum chamber. This method creates a thin ceramic layer that bonds to the surface at a molecular level. Extremely durable, it won't chip, is scratch-resistant, and much more environmentally friendly than other coating methods.
