Wool is a special hair. It has many qualities that make some synthetic fibres pale in comparison. In addition to its insulating properties, for example, it can absorb 33 per cent moisture without feeling wet. Moreover, wool is hardly combustible, does not become statically charged and does not attract dirt particles. Because of its high fat content, wool does not usually absorb germs either.

Acrylic has properties that make the fibre particularly interesting for the production of clothing. It is dimensionally stable and can be dyed light-resistant. The handle is soft and reminiscent of wool. Acrylic can be processed as a sole fibre or blended with wool, cotton or other yarns. Acrylic can also be produced using microfibre technology and then has moisture-regulating properties. Its easy-care properties are particularly noteworthy.
