Kimood XL K-Loop

Durable XL shopping bag made from recycled cotton and recycled polyester. Sturdy large-sized bag. This bag is part of the "K-loop" project.

The very large shopping bag features handles made from the same material as the bag. With the "K-loop" project, Kimood closes the loop of the circular economy. The cotton used comes from waste generated during the production of cotton products by the Kariban brand and the Kariban Brands product line. The included polyester is derived from the recycling of PET plastic bottles.

During the recycling process, tracers are added to the yarn, which are viscose and ceramic filaments that act as unique digital fingerprints. These tracers reflect light in a unique way and carry a distinct and unchangeable code. This allows us to uniquely store all information about the processes the yarn has undergone in a blockchain.

Using Aware™ Tracer technology and the corresponding blockchain platform, Kimood enables the end consumer to trace the entire production process. This ensures that the product has indeed been recycled using its own waste and without any potential alterations to the process. A special label with a QR code provides access to the Aware™ platform and allows for the direct authentication of certifications via a simple smartphone.
