Kimood K-Loop

Sustainable bag made from recycled cotton and recycled polyester. Rectangular shape that keeps everything in place without crushing items. This bag is part of the "K-loop" project.

Recycled cotton and polyester. Rectangular shopping bag with side folds and handles made from the same fabric as the bag. With this project, Kimood closes the loop of the circular economy in a narrower sense. The cotton used comes from waste generated during the production of cotton items by the Kariban brand and the Kariban Brands product line. The added polyester comes from the recycling of PET plastic bottles. During the recycling process, tracers are added to the yarn, namely viscose and ceramic filaments that act as a unique digital imprint. The tracers reflect light in a unique way and therefore carry a distinct and unchangeable code. This allows us to uniquely store all information about the processes the yarn has undergone in a blockchain. With the Aware™ Tracer technology and the corresponding blockchain platform, Kimood enables the end consumer to trace the entire production process. This ensures that the product has indeed been recycled using its own waste and without any possible alterations to the process. A special label with a QR code provides access to the Aware™ platform and allows for the direct authentication of certifications via a simple smartphone.
